About East Point College and School of Nursing
East Point College and School of Nursing was started in the year 2004, under MG Charitable trust founded by Dr. S.M. Venkat Pathi, offering both B.Sc. Nursing and Diploma in Nursing (GNM). We are recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, Karnataka State Nursing Council and Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Education Board.
Over the past few years the health care industry is changing and blooming, this in turn gives a wide range of opportunities to graduate nurses. We train the student nurses to care for the individuals, families and the community at large, equipped with excellent infrastructure including classrooms, laboratories and clinical experience from our 600 bedded Teaching Hospital located within the campus.

GNM
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
The diploma in nursing program is of 3 years duration. It is affiliated to Karnataka state nursing council, Bangalore, Karnataka, Karnataka state diploma in nursing examination board and recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : A Minimum of 50% in PUC / 12th GRADE / ‘A’ Level / +2 / ISC with any combination

Admission Criteria :
Minimum & Maximum age for admission will be 17 – 35 years respectively. For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.
10,+2 Class passed or its equivalent preferably with science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) subjects with aggregate of 50% marks.
Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
ANM training i.e 10+1year & 6months training should also have passed, 10+2 or its equivalent examination.
Admission of students shall be once in year.
B.SC. NURSING
The Basic B.Sc Nursing is a four year degree program, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka.

Eligibility :
A minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 21st December of the year of admission , The minimum educational requirements shall be passing of : Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or senior school certificate Examination (10+2), pre degree examination (10 + 2) or an equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science.
PB. B.SC. NURSING
The Post Basic B.Sc nursing is a 2 year degree program, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka This program is approved by Karnataka State Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : A Minimum of 50% in Diploma in General Nursing & Mid Wifery

Admission Criteria :
The Candidate Seeking Admission Must
Hold a diploma in general nursing and midwifery.
Be a registered nurse.
Have a minimum of one year of experience in hospital or community health settings.
Have passed the pre university examination in science ( physics, chemistry, biology) conducted by department of pre university education with minimum 45 percentage of marks.
Have working knowledge of English.
Be medically fit.
Have good personal and professional record.
Be below 48 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission shell be eligible.
M.SC. NURSING
The M.Sc Nursing is a 2 year post graduate degree program, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka This program is approved by Karnataka State Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
Eligibility : A Bachelors Degree with Minimum of 50% in Basic B.Sc Nursing or Post

Have minimum of one year of experience after obtaining degree in hospital or nursing educational institution or community health setting
For the candidate of Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree no such experience is needed after graduation.
Registered in State Nursing Council has as registered nurse and registered midwife/ registered nurse for psychiatric nursing.
